System Requirements
To support maximum performance when using two bandwidth-hungry PCIe cards, Echo II DV Desktop requires the following:
- Two connections between the Echo II DV module and the host computer with the supplied (or comparable) Thunderbolt cables (or any Thunderbolt 4 cables), and
- Each Thunderbolt port used on the computer must be on a separate Thunderbolt bus
(note that each Thunderbolt port on an M series Mac is on a separate bus).

Technical Notes
- While Echo II DV Rackmount features dual 40Gbps Thunderbolt interfaces, some Windows computers equipped with Thunderbolt 3 use an x2 PCIe lane implementation of Thunderbolt 3 technology that limits PCIe performance to 20Gbps.
- Secondary Thunderbolt ports support USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gb) or Gen 2 (10Gb) devices when connected with proper cables or adapters (sold separately).
- Power supply will operate as low as 90VAC, with linear power derating from 400W @ 115VAC to 320W @ 90VAC.
- Full performance requires the use of the included 40Gbps Thunderbolt cables, other 40Gbps (not 20Gbps) Thunderbolt cables, or any Thunderbolt 4 cables; look for the Thunderbolt icon and the number 3 or 4 on the connector housings to identify 40Gbps Thunderbolt cables.
- ThunderLok 3 compatible specifically with Sonnet 0.5- and 0.7-meter Thunderbolt 3 cables.
