Sylon VSIP2

High performance rugged Sylon VSIP2 security encoders are purpose-built for mission critical surveillance and security applications and designed to perform flawlessly under extreme environmental conditions. Available as a standalone device or in a choice of three blade form factors, Sylon VSIP2 provides best-in-class compression with constant video quality, H.264 MPEG-4 dual streaming and temporal scalability to minimize bandwidth utilization in bandwidth constrained environments. Security features include user-defined message generation triggered by video motion detection (VMD), tampering detection and digital I/O via the controller.

Sylon VSIP2 enables control of a PTZ camera via direct digital I/O or a RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 low-latency serial link. Setup is accomplished via a feature-rich user-friendly web interface that supports most codec parameters. A TCP/IP API facilitates seamless integration.

Rackable models of Sylon VSIP2 can use a single power supply or dual power supplies for redundancy. Encoders are hot-swappable and provide backplane configuration storage for instantaneous automatic reconfiguration that minimizes downtime.
