The compact Sylon VIPIX audio/video decoder provides excellent image quality at low bit rates for monitoring and surveillance over IP networks. AAC-LC audio ensures perfect synchronization of audio and video streams. Sylon VIPIX is a superior autonomous visualization tool for cost-effective surveillance installations. Its exclusive DUO/QUAD mode enables display of two or four MPEG-4 streams on analog monitors. A “zapping” mode triggers sequential switching among a predefined list of streams.

For maximum flexibility, Sylon VIPIX decoders are available in a variety of form factors including a standalone appliance, an electronic board that can be embedded in customer equipment and 4TE thin blades and 7TE boxes that can be combined to create high density encoders.

PTZ dome cameras may be controlled efficiently and transparently via digital I/O and a serial link with low-latency IP tunneling control using the Sylon VSIP2 encoder. Setup is accomplished via a feature-rich user-friendly web interface that supports most codec parameters. A TCP/IP API facilitates seamless integration.

Sylon VIPIX rack units can host a single power supply or dual power supplies for redundancy. Encoder units are hot-swappable and provide backplane configuration storage for instantaneous automatic reconfiguration that minimizes downtime.
